(b. 1989)

Jennifer Keltos is an artist based in New York City and the Hudson Valley. She studied classical drawing and painting at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy, developing a foundation in traditional techniques that inform her contemporary practice. Her paintings drift between the observed and imagined: from quiet landscapes and figures drawn from life, folkloric gatherings of women engaged in ambiguous rites, to domestic scenes shaped from the contrived stagecraft of old sitcoms. Her work teases out fragile humor and odd beauty found in cultural memory.

Jennifer has been awarded the Alpine Fellowship and the Hudson River Fellowship. Her work is featured in private collections throughout the United States, Europe, Africa and Asia. In addition to her studio practice, she works as an art conservation technician, specializing in the restoration of objects and paintings.
